Eastleigh Sports Awards – February 2019

We are delighted to announce that we were selected as Winners in the Primary School of the Year category at the Eastleigh Sports Awards for 2018.

Along with around 100 guests, Mr Tickner, Mr Connolly and Mrs Johnson enjoyed a fabulous evening at the Ageas Hilton Hotel hosted by Eastleigh Borough Council to recognise the sporting achievements of individuals and organisations in 2018.

We had been shortlisted with two other primary schools in our category and were thrilled to be selected as the overall winners.

This award recognises the hard work and dedication of everyone in our school community, including our teaching staff, support staff, lunchtime supervisors and parents/carers who make such a huge contribution (often in their own time) to give our children such a rich sporting experience.

We are extremely proud of our sporting achievements and of this award which is on display in the main reception area in school. A massive thank you to everyone who has made it possible.

Winter Mornings

Winter has finally arrived bringing with it cold, wet and windy weather. We have therefore made the decision for all children to come straight into school from 8:45am every day instead of waiting on the playground. Teachers will be in class and there will be tasks for children to do as they drift in. All children need to be in class by the start of the school day at 8:55am. After 8:55am the bottom playground gate will be closed and children will need to report to reception before heading to class. May we also remind you that children should not be dropped off before 8:45am as the playground is not supervised.

All children need to wear a coat outside for break and lunch during the winter months otherwise we will not be able to allow them outside.
