Eastleigh Sports Awards – February 2019

We are delighted to announce that we were selected as Winners in the Primary School of the Year category at the Eastleigh Sports Awards for 2018.

Along with around 100 guests, Mr Tickner, Mr Connolly and Mrs Johnson enjoyed a fabulous evening at the Ageas Hilton Hotel hosted by Eastleigh Borough Council to recognise the sporting achievements of individuals and organisations in 2018.

We had been shortlisted with two other primary schools in our category and were thrilled to be selected as the overall winners.

This award recognises the hard work and dedication of everyone in our school community, including our teaching staff, support staff, lunchtime supervisors and parents/carers who make such a huge contribution (often in their own time) to give our children such a rich sporting experience.

We are extremely proud of our sporting achievements and of this award which is on display in the main reception area in school. A massive thank you to everyone who has made it possible.

Spanish Christmas songs, stories of Mr. T's romantic prose and moose chants...it can only mean one thing. Year 6 leavers assembly. Thank you for all the adults who supported the event this afternoon. Well done to all of our amazing Year 6s. You did brilliantly! #freegroundsjun

"It actually smells quite nice in here." A quote from many of the staff who passed through the hall this morning (sounding surprised). Year 6 have been busy making soups. Soups are coming home tonight for you to try (yum!) #freegroundsjun
